Smart Phones (Androids) -see iPhones for description APPLE iPad - Discover how to use an iPad (or tablet) your way and change settings to suit your needs; add and use Apps, calendars, etc. Tablets (Androids) - see IPad for description YouTube - Come for a demonstration of what you can do on YouTube and what You-Tube can do for you. You'll be surprised and pleased. Safety Shopping the Internet - You won't actually be shopping, but you will learn how to recognize safe shopping sites and safe payment methods. You need to be familiar with using a PC and internet and email. Smartly Using the Internet - We'll show you how to safely use the internet for your needs; to recognize secure sites; set safety settings; about cookies; how to save and organize your favorites. Safely Using E-mail -We'll show you the basics for setting up and using e-mail regardless of your provider; sending and receiving e-mails; including attachments on emails; retrieving and saving attachments; phishing, spam, hoaxes and chain letters; and safe mail behavior. Introduction to Photos - This session is really a personal one because it deals with your personal photos. So we will show you what you want to learn and go from there (open and edit photos; set up a slide show; send photos via e-mail; connect your device to your PC and import your photo.) As much as time allows we will address all your concerns regarding your photos. You must bring your own flash drive to import your photos. |

You'll also learn how to insert a picture from your files or from the internet, design your own book, change fonts and more. You're only limited by your imagination (and maybe not even that!!) Must be familiar with the keyboard. Making Lists/Budgets using Excel - Create a list that you can manipulate very easily...great for managing your Christmas card list, birthday list, and more. Set up a basic budget, too. Learn the basic skills that will allow you to use this program for your needs. Working with FaceBook - Learn how to create an account; upload photos; add friends to your network; use privacy settings and more. WordPad or Microsoft WORD - WordPad is a free word processing program that comes on every computer that uses the Microsoft operating system. If you are interested in learning WordPad or enhancing the basic word processing skills you have already learned in WordPad or building on what you already about Word, you can check this out. We'll refresh the basic skills of word processing using Microsoft Word including changing fonts and font sizes; enhancing documents, creating signs or flyers and more. Managing Your Stuff on Your PC - If you have documents or photos here, there and everywhere and can't seem to find what you know you did, this is just what you need. You'll learn about File Explorer; how to create folders; how to copy and move files; use a flash drive (USB stick), and more. |
