Our inaugural computer classes were held on Monday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 26 and what a great group of 'students'.
They were so interested and interactive that questions and answers were an integral part of the first two sessions.
We were concerned that we had a lot of information crammed into the first sessions, but our members rose to the occasion and absorbed all we had to offer and then some. In fact, the questions were thought provoking and even taught a couple of the coaches (me, for one) something new.
There are 24 members signed up for the Basic Computing sessions, which are geared to those who are not very familiar with computer use at all. Intermediate and Advanced will follow soon.
These Basic Computing Classes ended on August 28th with two graduating classes; we will be back, bigger and better.
Our volunteer instructors, who prefer to be called coaches, are continuing to work on each session in order to ensure that our members get the hands-on training they want and need. We are looking forward to continuing this exciting new venture in the future.
